Tolerances
The Tolerances function allows you to attach tolerances to internal or external cylindrical faces (holes and shafts).
Access
- In the Solids tab, click the
icon in the Attributes section of the ribbon.
- Type Tol in the Quick Search field and select Tolerances from the result list.
This opens the Tolerances - Options tab which is displayed along with the ribbon containing the Environments, Options (Combined and Elements environment), Options (Faces environment), Filters, and Selection sections.
Procedure
In the following steps, confirmation by Right Mouse click may be required if Multi-select is active in the Selection options.
- Select one or several solids containing cylindrical surfaces.
- Select the required row (multiple selection is possible) and then click the
icon to define the tolerances in the Tolerances dialog box.
- Click the
icon to confirm your values and close the tolerances table.
After validation, the Tolerance Definition dialog box is displayed. See dialog box.
The table displays assigned tolerances which are stored in the Features.cfg file.
Note:
If the Combined option is active in Environments section of the ribbon, you may also directly select internal or external cylindrical faces. In this case, instead of the table, the Tolerances dialog box is displayed allowing you to directly enter the required values.
